Klaus is now writing his own blog

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

My mum is too busy to keep writing my blog so Iam now doing it myself.  I have finished my agility training for this year, I start back in March 2011.  The last two times I completed the course off lead, and I didn’t run away to the other dogs!! I even got a round of applause.  I did however, nip back and go through the tunnel for a second time because I like that bit.  I have mastered the see-saw but not the weaving poles, I keep missing a couple out….I’m too eager to get my treat.  I am going to try to write my blog weekly, so keep reading please………. and if you visit the pub, ask to meet me (it gets me downstairs for a few minutes :-) )

Klaus is a star at agility training

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

Klaus is now getting to grips with his agility training in that he actually watches what the other dogs do.  He now goes around the course with a long training lead trailing so he actually thinks he is off lead.  He is fab.  I guess the next step will be off lead completely.  He loves it, you can see the concentration in his face as he tackles the see-saw and the collapsable tunnel.  We are very proud of his progess.

Klaus started agility training

Last Saturday Malcolm and I took Klaus to agility training.  For a big boy, he is such a baby!  We started on the ‘A’ Frame and he cried all the way up and all the way down but after a couple of goes, he got the hang of it, and enjoyed the treat at the end.  He then moved onto the baby walk which is a plank up, a plank along and a plank down.  He really didn’t like walking the plank but again with a bit of encouragement, he did it.  The jumps were easy for him and the tunnel was fine once he saw his ‘dad’ waiting at the end!  After all the practice, we did a complete circuit with no issues.  Well Done Klaus!
