Klaus is a star at agility training

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

Klaus is now getting to grips with his agility training in that he actually watches what the other dogs do.  He now goes around the course with a long training lead trailing so he actually thinks he is off lead.  He is fab.  I guess the next step will be off lead completely.  He loves it, you can see the concentration in his face as he tackles the see-saw and the collapsable tunnel.  We are very proud of his progess.

Klaus is now a whizz around the agility course

Klaus is really getting to grips with the agility course although he is still on his lead.  He tries to rush everything and I have the job of catching him if he falls off the dog walk or see-saw.  For this reason, I hope he stops growing soon.

We recently bought Klaus a huge red ball which he loves playing football with on the village green.  He gets a little frustrated though as its too big to pick up.

Klaus started agility training

Last Saturday Malcolm and I took Klaus to agility training.  For a big boy, he is such a baby!  We started on the ‘A’ Frame and he cried all the way up and all the way down but after a couple of goes, he got the hang of it, and enjoyed the treat at the end.  He then moved onto the baby walk which is a plank up, a plank along and a plank down.  He really didn’t like walking the plank but again with a bit of encouragement, he did it.  The jumps were easy for him and the tunnel was fine once he saw his ‘dad’ waiting at the end!  After all the practice, we did a complete circuit with no issues.  Well Done Klaus!
